Ahead of tomorrow’s official reveal of the Black Ops 2 multiplayer, Activision has decided to allow Kotaku to release certain new details about the multiplayer.
First the Call of Duty “killstreak” system will be replaced with “Score Streak”, a point based system. This new system will reward players and their teams with points for all sort of actions like kills, capturing flags, assists and in return when enough points are reached the player or the team can activate different “streak rewards” like drones or many other. According to Treyarch this change was done for players to focus more on objectives and teamwork rather than just camping and going for kills.

Another new feature of Black Ops 2 multiplayer will be “Livestreaming”. With a touch of a button players on all platforms will be able to livestream their game over the internet. Additionally it will also feature USB camera support should anybody want to be seen while people watch their gameplay. Players will also be able to select ongoing matches and “shoutcast”, which is a “live play-by-play of the match”.

Finally the Class Creation system of Black Ops 2 has also been changed. All players will have 10 points in class creation and you may spend it on perks, attachments but not on weapons. You may also spend you points on a “Wildcard” that basically allows you to break the rules, for example selecting 3 attachments for your primary weapon.

What do you think of the new changes? Visit our Black Ops 2 news section for all the latest details and we will update with all the Gamescom info starting tomorrow August 15.
