Infinity Ward has released a hotfix for Modern Warfare 3 tweaking a number of SMG’s and Assault weapons. They did not specify on which platforms however we can assume that it was for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, since hotfixes do not require a download like title updates.

Please find below the “buffed” weapons:

Assault Weapons:

• FAD – increased damage and range
• M16A4 – increased damage and fire rate
• AK47 – reduced kick

SMG’s:

• UMP45 – increased damage
• MP5 – increased fire rate
• PM9 – reduced kick
