Infinity Ward has just announced via Twitter that the fan favorite multiplayer map Terminal from MW2 will be releasing for Modern Warfare 3 as a free map in less than 2 weeks. It will be available for Xbox 360 Elite premium members on July 17 and non-Elite Xbox 360 players will be able to download it a day later on July 18.

It looks like Activision has to respect its 30-day Xbox 360 DLC exclusivity deal even with free DLC releases. At this time there is no release date for PC or PS3 players however we can expect it to release sometimes around the 17th of August.
