UPDATE: We have added another Black Ops 2 Strike Force gameplay video
With this week’s E3 Expo under way we got some brand new Black Ops 2 gameplay footage in addition to the first gameplay video for the brand new Strike Force mode. Strike force basically is non linear campaign play. Please find below all the details we know so far and the trailer:
Strike Force:
- Strike Force is presently only contained in the campaign and isn’t a separate mode
- Strike Force missions will be tied into the core single-player campaign, and will arise as different black ops missions available around the world
- Strike Force allows players to manage squads of troops, giving follow/hold commands using the shoulder buttons.
- Depending on the results of a given strike force mission, the storyline can change
- The strike force missions will happen naturally but will be written into the story
- Strike Force also allows a zoomed-out command view by using an unmanned aerial drone that allows you to set waypoints for your units to accomplish changing objectives
- Strike Force will enable you to control armed aerial drones
- Increases the re-playability of Black Ops 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is scheduled for launch on November 13, 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Additionally at this week’s E3 Expo Sony has confirmed Black Ops Declassified will be making its way to the PS Vita this holiday season.
Let us know in the comments section what you think of the new Strike Force mode.
