Modern Warfare 3 continues to be #1 on the Xbox Live activity charts. Major Nelson has published the most recent activity charts on his blog for Xbox 360.

Regardless of claims of decreasing sales numbers in comparison with Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 continues to be the leading played game title on Xbox Live, just in front of Black Ops.  With Modern Warfare 2 at #6, Call of Duty 4 at #18 and World At War at number 19, signifying the Call of Duty franchise occupies 25 % of the top 20 yet again.  The only brand new entry to the list is the Sniper Elite V2 demo at #20.

The Xbox Live Charts activity is measured by unique users, not hours played. Given that the gaming console is linked to the web, it doesn’t matter what you’re playing single player or multiplayer, it counts.
